IBA, Zambales — The Zambales Police Provincial Office (ZPPO) has teamed up with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Zambales and local government units (LGUs) in fostering discipline as a means for community development and nation-building.
Said offices successfully launched the “Disiplina Muna” advocacy program across the province on July 13 with simultaneous ceremonies in all municipalities (See photos below).
The ceremonies were also a part of the synchronized “Disiplina Muna” launching activity spearheaded by Police Regional Office 3.
Disiplina Muna—a brainchild of the DILG— aims to promote the culture of discipline among Filipinos as a means of fostering people’s participation in good governance.
The so-called seven pillars of the “Disiplina Muna “national advocacy campaign are: environmental clean-up, disaster preparedness, road-clearing operations, anti-smoking drive, ease of doing business, anti-drug abuse, and anti-corruption.
LGOO VII Judith B. Romero, cluster team leader of DILG Zambales, led the main activity at Camp Captain Conrado D. Yap in Sto. Rosario, Iba, Zambales and discussed the seven pillars during the activity.
Meanwhile, DILG, ZPPO and LGU officials spearheaded the launching of the campaign in the 13 towns of Zambales where stakeholders also manifested their support through signing their pledge of commitment.
In organizing the pledging activities, the DILG hammered home its belief that development could be attained by creating communities that cultivate a culture of discipline and that this could begin by creating local champions and ambassadors that will spearhead the advocacy in the localities.
