MANILA (September 22, 2026) – Emerging local telecommunications player Avocado Broadband Telecoms, Inc. (Avocado) is strengthening its enterprise presence after securing its first 10 commercial accounts at the Subic Bay Freeport Zone (SBFZ).
Among its key new customers are MNS Impex, Subic Riviera Hotel, Horizon Hotel, The Reef and The Lighthouse, representing the hospitality, trading, tourism and commercial sectors.
Additional customers include companies involved in customs brokerage, corporate services, food and beverage, fitness, and other commercial activities.
Avocado, a wholly Filipino-owned company holding a congressional franchise under Republic Act 10895, sees further opportunities to serve the SBFZ’s growing community of hotels, logistics and trading companies, manufacturers, offices, tourism establishments, and other enterprises requiring reliable, high-capacity connectivity.
“As we continue to expand our enterprise connectivity business, we consider Subic an important market due to its strategic location, accessibility, and a wide range of businesses and industries operating in the area,” Avocado president Paco Magsaysay said in a news release Monday.
“Our nationwide infrastructure, high-capacity backbone and focus on network resiliency allow us to provide businesses with the dependable and scalable connectivity they increasingly require,” Magsaysay added.
Avocado operates a 200 gigabits capacity nationwide subsea fiber network, with major nodes strategically located in Bacolod, Panay and Cebu in the Visayas; and Davao and Cagayan de Oro in Mindanao.
The network is supported by a healing-loop redundancy architecture designed to enhance network resiliency and service continuity through alternative fiber routes that allow network traffic to be rerouted when a primary route is disrupted.
Complementing its subsea infrastructure is a 200G-capacity North-South Luzon backbone providing high-capacity and redundant connectivity across Luzon and supporting nationwide enterprise and carrier-grade services.
This enables the network to handle large volumes of data and growing bandwidth requirements from enterprises, data centers, industrial parks, schools, government institutions, and other organizations increasingly dependent on cloud services, digital platforms, video, communications, and data-intensive applications.
Combined with Avocado’s network presence in two major Luzon data centers, Equinix and Digital Edge, and strategic industrial and economic locations, this infrastructure gives customers access to a high-capacity and scalable nationwide connectivity platform that can support and improve their operations while providing room for future digital growth. ▲
