OLONGAPO CITY — Zambales 1st District Representative Jay Khonghun has announced the start of a free Annual Physical Examination (APE) program for public school teachers in this city as part of his initiatives for health and wellness for constituents in Olongapo.

The program was implemented in response to a request from the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Olongapo headed by Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Imelda Macaspac.

“This is important because we need to ensure that the teachers, who guide learners and help mold the future of thousands of students in the city, are free from any ailment so that they can remain in good health to do their job,” Khonghun stressed.

“These public servants who give all that they can to build a better future for the youth only deserve all the support they can get,” he added.

The free medical checkups are undertaken at various school campuses in the city.

Khonghun said his office also continues to provide medical assistance not only for teachers, but also residents in the First District. ▲
