LGU provides school bags and educational kits to students
BOTOLAN, Zambales (July 25, 2026)— Learners in various schools across Botolan, Zambales received school bags and educational supplies this month, as the local government unit (LGU) gave its share in supporting students when they return for classes this schoolyear.
Mayor Jun Omar Ebdane, who personally met with students and teachers during the distribution, said the provision of school supplies aims to encourage learners to go to school and help parents support their children’s educational needs.

Mayor Ebdane was joined by Sangguniang Bayan members Eddie Daos, Lance Lim, Jay Dilag, and Gregorio Jaring, ABC President Fernando Oñate, and Municipal Administrator Mr. Jeffrey Bautista during the first day of distribution on July 2 at the following schools: Botolan North Integrated School, Paudpod Elementary School, San Juan Integrated School, Alao Elementary School, Dojoc-Balite Integrated School, Kainomayan Village Elementary School, Botolan South Elementary School, Santiago Integrated School, San Isidro Integrated School, Buen Elementary School, Mambog Integrated School, Lakas High School, Bancal Integrated School, Parel Elementary School, Danacbunga Elementary School, Beneg Elementary School, Beneg High School, Bangan-Capayawan Integrated School, and San Miguel Elementary School.




“It’s such a joy seeing the happy faces of the kids when they got their bags and school supplies,” Mayor Ebdane said.
On July 3, the Botolan LGU team distributed bags and school supplies to students at Bucao Integrated School, Porac Integrated School, Binoclutan Elementary School, Panan Elementary School, Panan National High School, New Taugtog Elementary School (NTES I), New Taugtog Elementary School (NTES II), New Taugtog National High School, Paitan Elementary School, Batonlapoc Elementary School, Botolan National High School, Baquilan Resettlement School I, Baquilan Resettlement School II, Baquilan Resettlement High School, Loob-bunga High School, Loob-bunga I Elementary School, Loob-bunga II Elementary School, and Loob-bunga III Elementary School.
Mayor Ebdane also led the LGU team in distributing educational kits to day care learners in Botolan on July 6.
Finally, on July 22 and 23, the LGU team delivered school bags and educational supplies to schools in the remote Baytan villages after a temporary respite from inclement weather. These are: Poonbato Integrated School, Maguisguis Integrated School, Palis Elementary School, Owaog-Nebloc Elementary School, Nacolcol Integrated School, Burgos Elementary School, Moraza Integrated School, Cabatuan Integrated School, Belbel Elementary School, and Villar Integrated School.
Mayor Ebdane said that with the full support of Vice-Mayor Edmund Dante Perez and the members of the Sangguniang Bayan, the LGU will see to it that all learners in the municipality will get their school kits through the “Balik-Eskwela” program. ▲
