SAN ANTONIO, Zambales — This town’s homegrown champion baseball team will be flying to Branson, Missouri, USA, to compete as the Philippine representative in the upcoming Babe Ruth League World Series slated on August 5 to 16.

The San Antonio “Diamond Dreamers” qualified for the world championship after winning the 12-Under Division of the Babe Ruth League Philippines National Tournament held May 1 to 10 at The Village Sports Complex in Clark Freeport.

On June 16, team officials led by Zambales Baseball-Softball Charter (ZBSC) president Ernesto B. Concepcion, along with San Antonio Mayor Arvin Antipolo and Councilor Juan Gabriel Angeles, visited Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. in Iba to relay the good news and request assistance for the team’s travel to the United States.

Mayor Antipolo said Gov. Ebdane pledged full support for the team and provided P1 million to cover the teams’ expenses in passport and visa application, air fare, uniform, and meals.

Other players of the San Antonio “Diamond Dreamers” team also brought home honors to Zambales in the 2026 Perfect Game Asia Pacific Zone Championship on June 22 to 26 also in Clark.

The team emerged as first runner-up in the 13-Under Division of the series, and second runner-up in the 15-Under category.

The 2026 Perfect Game tournament brought together elite youth baseball teams from countries and regions across the Asia-Pacific, including Japan, China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Thailand, and the Philippines. – Taktikom News & Features
