OLONGAPO CITY, June 12, 2026 — SM Olongapo malls officially launched its Philippine Independence Day celebration under the theme “Super Pinoy Vibes 2026”, treating shoppers to a festive weekend of proudly local energy, interactive experiences, and homegrown products.
The commemoration began with a meaningful short program and flag-raising ceremony, followed by the unveiling of interactive exhibits and local MSME bazaars.


The event was made extra special at SM City Olongapo Central by the presence of Olongapo City Mayor Rolen Paulino Jr., City Councilors Angelito Baloy, Eyrma Yvette Marzan Estrella, Benjamin Cajudo II, City Tourism Head “Fifi” Legaspi and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines Olongapo chapter and First Lady Atty. Elizabeth Q. Paulino.
SM City Olongapo Downtown guests include City Vice Mayor Kaye Ann Legaspi, City Councilors Rodolfo Catologan and Joshua Gardon.

Guests enjoyed the supersized snack photospot as they struck a pose at this SM’s larger-than-life, interactive snack-themed photo installation.
As part of the “Super Pinoy Vibes 2026” campaign, SM Supermalls launched a series of exciting activities showcasing Filipino pride.


Highlights included Filipino-inspired photo installations, the vibrant Sari-Sari Bazaar, the Super Pinoy Sale, and the Pinoy Superheroes Cosplay Parade – all designed to give shoppers and visitors engaging ways to experience and celebrate Filipino culture and heritage.
Through programs like “Super Pinoy Vibes 2026,” SM City Olongapo Central and SM City Olongapo Downtown showed its support for celebrating Filipino identity by organizing activities that bring people together and create memorable experiences. ▲
