IBA, Zambales — The resort town of San Antonio, Zambales will host the 2026 Association of Tourism Officers of Central Luzon (ATOCEL) Convention, which will gather together tourism officers from various provinces, municipalities, cities, and free ports across the region.
ATOCEL officers, led by its president Maria Domitela Mora, called on Gov. Hermogenes Ebdane Jr. here on June 8 to discuss the tourism event slated on July 30 to 31.
Mora, who heads the Zambales Provincial Investment and Tourism Promotion Office, was accompanied by ATOCEL vice president Mary Jamelle Camba, from the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Michael Castañeda from Pampanga, Limuel Jan Lobederio of Bulacan, Cherrylyn Pascua from Tarlac, and Ian Mejia of Clark Freeport.

The convention, which will have the theme “From Smart Destinations to Sustainable Futures,” will be held at The Luminary Events Place in San Antonio, and is expected to draw about 300 participants.
ATOCEL officers said the convention will focus on shifting regional tourism toward long-term eco-friendly and sustainable models, strengthen tourism partnership and programs among the provinces in Central Luzon, and showcase San Antonio’s premier attractions, including coastal coves and island destinations.
San Antonio was voted the Top Municipal Tourist Destination in Region III during the Tourism Recognition for Enterprises and Stakeholders (TRES) Awards ceremony early this year.
Meanwhile, officers of the Federation of Zambales Tourism Associations (FoZTA) also met with Gov. Ebdane on June 8 to present their program in strengthening the local tourism industry.
FoZTA is headed by Gerald M. Cabauatan, as president; Bren Delos Santos, vice president for external affairs; Kara Mia Dexter, vice president for internal affairs; Analiza R. Villarin, vice president for finance; and Augusto E. Patricio, secretary general.
Members of the FoZTA Board of Trustees Fulvio P. America, Jayde Gillan, Chryz Ballaw, and Paul Candelaria also joined the meeting with the governor. – Taktikom News & Features
