IBA, Zambales — The provincial government of Zambales has installed a Canon Aplio Flex 2D Echo Machine at the President Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Hospital here, making the PRMMH the first medical facility in the whole of Central Luzon to employ a cutting-edge diagnostic system powered by AI (artificial intelligence) deep-learning technology.

Governor Hermogenes E. Ebdane Jr. led the inauguration of the state-of-the-art medical equipment at the new 2D Echo Room of the provincial hospital on May 13, along with Chief of Hospital Dra. Eileen Garido, HIMEX Corp. Executive Vice President Yoshihiro P. Ono, and government officials and employees.

Gov. Ebdane said the new equipment makes quality medical service accessible to Zambaleños and significantly improves the delivery of government service in the province.

“Now our people won’t have to travel a great distance just to avail of this kind of advanced medical examination. We now have it right here, and this kind of service is not just accessible but also affordable,” the governor said during the launching.

Netizens, meanwhile, hailed the delivery of the new system, describing it as a great benefit to residents needing special medical attention, and thanked Gov. Ebdane for making it happen.

AGILE AND INTELLIGENT

The Canon Aplio Flex 2D Echo Machine installed at PRMMH boasts of pristine images, automated functions, and intelligent workflows, making it the ideal system to handle a wide variety of imaging needs in a busy clinic, according to information from Canon.

Its versatile design is said to ensure consistently high imaging performance, with its mode-sensitive touch screen providing direct access to the relevant functions and the on-screen navigation for the central trackball guiding the user through the exam for greater efficiency.

Moreover, its slimline design allows the system to easily fit into tight spaces such as those behind or around hospital beds and counters.

This versatility and efficiency were proven right during the inaugural ceremony when PRMMH Cardiac Sonographer Specialist Ma. Celeste M. Aquino examined a volunteer “patient” with the diagnostic imaging system.
