CLARK FREEPORT — The Subic–Clark Alliance for Development (SCAD) in collaboration with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) extension office in Tarlac has opened a SCAD-SEC Help Desk here to bring services closer to businesses and investors in the Subic-Clark economic corridor.
Located at the BCDA Corporate Center, One West Aeropark, Clark Freeport Zone, the help desk serves as a convenient channel for businesses seeking assistance on SEC registrations, compliance requirements, and other corporate regulatory concerns.
SCAD Executive Director Atty. Carminda Z. Fabros said in a statement that the initiative embodies the shared commitment of the two agencies to advance ease of doing business, improve access to regulatory support, and foster the continued growth and development of enterprises.
“The collaboration between the SEC and SCAD was conceptualized to provide information and assist businesses, with the mutual aim of boosting investor confidence and accelerating investments across the Subic–Clark economic corridor,” Fabros added.
Launched last March 11, the SCAD-SEC Help Desk makes it easier for corporations to comply with regulatory requirements and access timely assistance, said SEC Tarlac Director Richard R. Laus.
“Through this partnership with SCAD, we aim to enhance efficiency, strengthen investor confidence, and support the continued growth of businesses in the region,” Laus said, emphasizing the importance of improving service delivery and strengthening investor confidence in the Subic-Clark area.
Fabros said SCAD Legal Counsel Atty. Aliw V. Del Rosario has outlined the processes for inquiries, assistance requests, and coordination with the SEC, as well as the support services available to locators and stakeholders during the March 11 launch.
The launch was attended by representatives of the American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Inc. (AmCham)-North Luzon, Freeport Area of Bataan Investors and Locators Association, Inc. (FABILA), and Clark Investors and Locators Association (CILA).
Participants from the Subic Bay Freeport Chamber of Commerce, the Department of Trade and Industry’s Foreign Trade Service Corps, as well as Subic and Clark locator companies also joined the launching via Zoom.
Locators and stakeholders may visit the SCAD–SEC Help Desk at the SCAD Office, G/F, Bldg. 2519-A, Samat St., Phil. Cyber Technopark Complex, Clark Freeport Zone, or contact the office through 0945-395-2983 or via email at scad.sec.helpdesk@scad.gov.ph for inquiries and assistance. ▲
