BDO Unibank, a member of the SM Group, clinched the Gold Anvil Award for Best Use of Influencer Marketing Category, besting more than 170 companies that vied for the honor in the recent 61st Anvil Awards.
The Anvil Awards, organized by the Public Relations Society of the Philippines to recognize outstanding Philippine PR campaigns, took cognizance of BDO’s use of credible brand ambassador and influencer, actor Piolo Pascual, to provide timely financial and security tips to Filipinos working overseas and their families back home.
Pascual is backstopped in this campaign which has run for more than two decades by comedian Small Laude and content creators Christian Antolin and Justine Luzares.

The ad series—created to promote BDO products under Kabayan Connections—focused on building trust, and used light, relatable storytelling techniques to simplify banking concepts and make financial terms more understandable to clients.
The series shared the aspirations of overseas Filipinos by fostering meaningful engagement, strengthening and advancing financial awareness and inclusion, and reinforcing BDO’s “Alagang Kabayan” program that emphasizes genuine care for Filipinos here and abroad.
