NAVAL STATION JOSE ANDRADA, Manila – The Philippine Navy participated in the 14th Philippine-Australia-United States Multilateral Maritime Cooperative Activity (MMCA) conducted from February 15–16, 2026 in the West Philippine Sea, alongside the Armed Forces of the Philippines, Australian Defence Force, and United States Indo-Pacific Command.


The Philippine Navy deployed BRP Diego Silang (FFG7) and an AW109 helicopter, with assets from the Philippine Air Force and the Philippine Coast Guard, including BRP Teresa Magbanua (MRRV9701). Partner forces likewise deployed platforms, with the Australian side deploying HMAS Towoomba (FFH156) with MH-60R helicopter and a P-8A Poseidon maritime patrol aircraft, while U.S. forces sent USS Dewey (DDG105) with a P-8A Poseidon.


Activities focused on improving coordination and interoperability, including Communication Exercises, Maritime Domain Awareness drills, and Division Tactics as well as Photo Exercises, and Replenishment at Sea, which demonstrated shared readiness for future joint maritime operations.
The activity also reinforced sustained multilateral cooperation and demonstrated participating nations’ continued commitment to strengthening maritime security through coordinated operations at sea and in the air.
