THE Office of the Provincial Treasurer reminds all real property owners that the 1% Basic Real Property Tax and the 1% Special Education Fund (SEF) Tax for the year 2026 are due on January 1, 2026, with the option to pay in four (4) equal installments without penalty.

Acting Provincial Treasurer Noime P. Ballesteros said that discounts of up to 20% are available for early and prompt payments. However, late payments will incur a 2% monthly interest, or up to 72% total, she warned.

To avoid penalties and interest charges, the public is urged to pay taxes under the installment deadlines without penalty, as follows:

• 1st: March 31, 2026

• 2nd: June 30, 2026

• 3rd: September 30, 2026

• 4th: December 31, 2026

Payments must be made at the Municipal or Provincial Treasurer’s Office where the property is located. 
