BMs Rundy Ebdane, Jim Abasta join new PBMLP-CL officers

CLARK FREEPORT — Zambales provincial board members Jun Rundstedt “Rundy” C. Ebdane and Sancho “Jim” Abasta III were elected among the new officers of the Provincial Board Members League of the Philippines (PBMLP) in Region III during the group’s general assembly on September 23.

The assembly and election were held at the Royce Hotel, Clark, Pampanga and was presided over by DILG Region III Regional Director Araceli A. San Jose.

BM Ebdane was elected as board member, while BM Abasta was voted regional auditor.

The PBMLP, which is composed of elected members of Sangguniang Panlalawigan, aims for a cohesive voice in the formulation of national policies affecting local governments, particularly where it concerns provincial boards.

It is part of the Union of Local Authorities of the Philippines (ULAP), which was formed in 1998 to serve as the umbrella organization of all leagues of local government units (LGUs) and locally elected government officials.

Those elected as new officers of PBMLP-Region III are:  BM Harmes Sembrano of Tarlac as regional chairperson; BM Fritzie David-Dizon (Pampanga), regional vice chairperson; BM Romina Fermin (Bulacan), regional treasurer; BM Sancho Abasta III (Zambales), regional auditor; and BM Belinda Panlilio (Nueva Ecija), regional PRO.

The new members of the Board of Directors, meanwhile, are: BM Cherry Manalo (Pampanga), BM Jun Ebdane (Zambales), BM Pedro Ong Jr. (Aurora), BM Reichel Villanueva (Nueva Ecija), and BM Philippe Jake Galban (Aurora).

The PBMLP-Region III officers are expected to further strengthen collaboration among provincial boards in Region III and be at the forefront of initiatives for good governance across the region. 
