    Zambales DILG inspects locally-funded projects

    THE Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG), in collaboration with local government units (LGUs), conducted an inspection of locally-funded projects (LFPs) on October 1, 2 and 4 in the towns of Palauig, Iba, and Cabangan.

    The review of project implementation was made by the DILG Zambales Provincial Monitoring Team composed of LGOO VI Lianne Abegail T. Muñoz, LGOO VI Suslijah N. Gesmundo, LGOO II Lui Felise B. Pantaleon, Engr. Adrian Ariel C. Artates, Engr. Joel A. Damaso, Engr. II Dorothy Joy U. Causing, and PEO I Bryan B. Allejos. They were accompanied by the respective project contractors in the inspection.

    Among the projects that were jointly inspected are the Information and Communications Technology Systems and Infrastructure Development: Digitalization of Payments for Collections and Disbursements in Palauig. This project is worth P10,000,000 and implemented this year under the 2024 Local Government Support Fund-Financial Assistance to Local Government Units (LGSF-FALGU).

    The others are: Establishment of Integrated Business Permits and Licensing System (P10,000,000, 2023 LGSF-FALGU) for the Municipality of Iba; Construction of Multi-purpose Building in Barangay Dirita-Baloguen (P10,000,000, 2023 LGSF-FALGU) also for Iba; and Installations of Solar Street Lights along New Government Center and Caleguet Road (P1,800,000, under the 2023 Seal of Good Local Governance Incentive Fund [GSGLGIF]) also for Iba.

    The monitoring team also inspected the Improvement of Farm-to-Market Road in Barangay Anonang (P10,000,000) in the Municipality of Cabangan; and the Construction of Multi-Purpose Building in Barangay Dolores (P15,000,000), also in Cabangan.

    Afterwards, the DILG Zambales PMT also provided technical assistance on the features and functionalities of SubayBayan and Proyekto ng Bayan Platform (SubayBayan) for the compliance of necessary data to be submitted and uploaded by the LGU.

    Lastly, an exit conference was held to discuss project findings and recommendations, wherein the LGU functionaries committed to continuously adhere to the set project implementations, standards and guidelines. 
