THE Olongapo City Agriculture Office, in collaboration with SM City Olongapo Central, SM City Olongapo Downtown and other NGOs, hosted its annual tree planting activity to promote sustainability and enhance the local environment.
The event took place last June 28, drawing enthusiastic participation from community volunteers, including students, local officials, and environmental advocates.

Held at Waterdam Road Extension, Blk. 27 Sitio Banca-Bancaan, Gordon Heights, the activity featured the planting of approximately 1,000 Narra trees.
This initiative is part of the City Agriculture Office’s yearly commitment to environmental conservation and community engagement.

It can be recalled that tree planting is also part of SM’s environmental programs. As a responsible mall developer, SM says it ensures that its CSR programs serve as catalyst for positive change for the community it serves.
The SM Cares, the group that handles the corporate social responsibility programs of SM Prime Holdings, practices a combination of communication campaigns through its Green Retail Agenda and the Green Film Festival. SM Supermalls environment programs encourage tenants, patrons, employees, partners and other companies to be one with their advocacy.
