THE first ever Castaway Music Festival in Olongapo was a blast with great performances from Kier, Vynz, Will Mikhael and Sponge Cola.

Sponge Cola transformed the open parking of SM City Olongapo Central into a high-spirited venue of exhilarating live performances that got everyone moving. With the music, dancing and lights, it was all just spectacular. 

Castaway Music Festival is a touring concert that usually happens during summer. SM Supermalls introduced the said festival in 2014 and was headlined by the country’s biggest music superstars from rock groups. This year, Sponge Cola, one of the most popular rock bands in the Philippines took the center stage at SM City Olongapo Central with band members Yael Yuzon on vocals and guitars, Gosh Dilay on bass, Armo Armovit on guitars and drummer Tedmark Cruz.

Sponge Cola has produced a number of hit songs, including “Jeepney”, “KLSP”, “Gemini”, “Bitiw”, “Tuliro”, “Di Na Mababawi”, “Tambay”, “Kay Tagal Kitang Hinintay”, and “XGF”. The band’s debut album, Palabas, was released in 2004. 
