Celebrate National Arts Month at SM

February is declared as the National Arts Month under Presidential Proclamation 683 of 1991 to celebrate and pay tribute to Filipino talent, ingenuity and creativity. This year’s theme is “Ani ng Sining, Bunga ng Galing”.

As SM puts a spotlight on Filipino art, mall-goers can view some of the works of local artists in Olongapo City in the Alab Singing Art Exhibition from February 14 to 28, a project of the city government of Olongapo headed by Mayor Rolen “LenJ” Paulino in partnership with SM City Olongapo Central.

Art exhibits are also conducted in other malls in Central Luzon like Subli Botanical and Art Exhibit and Art in the Sky featuring Focus Bulakan, as well as the art exhibit of Pasa-Kalye Group of Artists partnered with Hardin Creatives-Nueva Vizcaya, Cagayano Artists Group, and Nueva Ecija Artists held at SM City Clark and SM City Cabanatuan respectively.

The public can also visit the impressive artworks of Camille Pingul at the Art in Yard at SM City Telabastagan from Feb 10 to 25, which is a partnership between SM City Pampanga, SM Telabastagan and the city government of San Fernando.

At SM Supermalls, Filipinos can find havens to practice, appreciate and support local arts. They can create visual masterpieces from the wide array of art materials available at National Bookstore, Papemelroti, and SM Stationery.

Visit SM City Olongapo Central, SM City Pampanga, SM City Clark, SM City San Fernando Downtown, SM City Telabastagan, SM City Cabanatuan and SM City Tarlac for an awesome celebration of the Arts Month. ~
