THE local government unit of Botolan, Zambales, with the assistance of the Department of the Interior and Local Government in Zambales (DILG-Zambales), has completed a workshop for the formulation of its Executive-Legislative Agenda for Capacity Development (ELA-CapDev) for the period 2022 to 2025.
The ELA-CapDev workshop was held on august 8 to 10 at the Azalea Hotel and Residences in Baguio City.
Mayor Jun Omar Ebdane and Vice Mayor Doris Ladines led the LGU participants that included members of the Sangguniang Bayan.

The workshop was also attended by representatives of the local offices of the Department of Education, Philippine National Police, and Bureau of Fire Protection, as well as non-government organizations in Botolan.
The participants were grouped into five clusters: Institutional, Social, Economic, Environment, and Infrastructure.
At the end of the workshop, representatives of each cluster presented their respective outputs during the three-day activity.

DILG Provincial Director Martin Porres B. Moral facilitated the workshop along with local government operations officers Kristine Joy B. Pesimo, Cindy C. Cagalitan, Maharlina J. Tejada, Dan A. Esteban and Shieralyn B. Esteban, as well as Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator Melanie C. Baysa.
At the start of the workshop, Mayor Ebdane and Vice Mayor Ladines presented their respective priority programs and projects to align them together for the LGU program in the next three years.

“You will always have our full support, so that we can achieve what we have planned for our ELA-CapDev,” Mayor Ebdane told the participants, as he enjoined them to cooperate, participate, and dedicate themselves to the pursuit of the LGU vision for Botolan.
The ELA-CapDev was crystallized from the priority projects, progams and activities of the LGU departments that were incorporated by sectoral representatives into one coherent program based on the objectives and strategies of the local government unit under its Comprehensive Development Plan. —Shieralyn B.
