THE Municipalities of Castillejos and San Antonio in Zambales were among the first local government units to be assessed by Region XIII representative LGOO VII Ray Gregory F. Jaranilla on August 14, as the national validation for the 2017 Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) kicked off.
The LGUs were gauged on the four core areas of financial administration, disaster preparedness, social protection, and peace and order; as well as on the essential areas of business friendliness and competitiveness, environmental management, and tourism, culture and the arts. The assessment process consists of table validation, onsite inspection and utilization conference with the local functionaries and heads of offices.
The LGUs expressed their support and appreciation to the program, stating that more than the prestige of the award, the SGLG will serve as their minimum standard of service delivery until it becomes their way of life. – DILG-Zambales
